Selections for 21/06/2011

Making no excuses, yesterday was awful all things considered, pretty much everything we backed lost, fell over or decided to go for a cup of tea in the middle of its race, the frustration with this is that since the blog started we have had so many really good days that people begin to think you never have days such as yesterday, resulting in a bit of a backlash when they do arrive.

All I will say is that despite the pasting we took we are still in front on both backing to win and backing to place figures overall and, in terms of the red selections, backing to place did actually make a profit yesterday a factor I have discussed on here before relating to the fact that although the thrill of big winnings doesn't come your way when backing to place, it is, in my opinion, a far greater way of making long-term profit.

Anyway, enough of all that, we won't be put off by a bad day, and have the days selections below, hopefully yesterday will become a distant memory by 10 o'clock this evening.
