Selections for 22/06/2011

As is often the way in betting, good days follow bad and vice versa. Monday was the worst the blog had seen in its short life, things were looking gloomy, there were voices of anger at money lost everywhere you turned and it was all rather unpleasant to tell you the truth.

Then came Tuesday, and all of the previous days worries were forgotten in what, even by my high standards, was an excellent few hours, we made over £90 profit at Brighton in the afternoon, whilst teasing Palace and Sheffield Wednesday legend Mark Bright on Twitter regarding his lack of winnings whilst we were stacking up the cash. We made £30 profit at Newbury in the evening, but most pleasing of all was what occurred at Newton Abbot, with all five picks from the blog steaming in to win, with odds as high as 5/1, not only did this generate £131 profit on the card to £10 stakes, it also would have generated a 475/1 accumulator for anyone brave enough to think all the selections were going to win.

The days winnings takes us back up to £458 overall profit since the blog began, but what I suppose I'm trying to get at here is that, although we may have many bad days in the coming months, there is always the possibility that a day such as yesterday is just round the corner, hopefully you all made some decent profit from it.
